Networking & Learn Grant Workshop Series

During coaching sessions, participants will help develop a strategy for applying for grants, receive feedback on proposals, and answer questions about the grant writing process.

At the end of coaching sessions, participants will understand an important organizational function to sustain and grow critical programs, integrate knowledge and the ability to produce proposals with a higher probability of being funded.

Trainings held biweekly (October 2023 – December 2023)

Six-week (1.5 hour) training to include practical exercises and step-by-step instructions, through all the stages of planning programs, locating funding sources, and writing grant proposals while utilizing the common grant development formats.

Assign writing challenges for internal organization brainstorming sessions:

• Align writing challenge tasked for dialogue and development.
• Focus direction for funding and specific goals for planned activities.

Session 1: Grant Writing 101: Grant Readiness (Opening Kickoff) – October 8, 2023 (Opening Kickoff)

Session 2: Identify funding prospects and understanding the request / Persuasion 101 – October 22, 2023

Session 3: Breaking down the proposal I (outline, background, and need) – November 5, 2023

Session 4: Breaking down the proposal II (project, SMART objectives, and evaluation) – November 19, 2023

Session 5: Breaking down the proposal III (budgets and cover letters) – December 3, 2023

Session 6: Submission / Grant Stewardship (Closing Ceremony) – December 17, 2023
